How to Install & Add Modo to Your Slack Workspace & Channels

STEP 1 Workspace Auth

Click the Add to Slack link. Select your target Slack Workspace from the top-right dropdown, review the standard permissions, and click Allow.

Your Google account is your Modo account — there is no separate password. Signing in authorizes Calendar and Gmail read access and creates your own private workspace.

Open the extension once and click Sign in with Google to link it to the same account, then research on ChatGPT, Claude, Google Search, or LinkedIn (e.g. "SOC2 compliance requirements for enterprise AI agents").

STEP 3 Slack Delivery

In Slack, type /modo. The first run replies with a one-time Connect Google Account button that links your Slack account to your Google account. After that, Gemini 3.8 Flash synthesizes emails, calendar timing, and recent browser research into a 4-section briefing.

Independent User Testing

Everyone signs in with their own Google account, so calendars, Gmail threads, and captured research never cross accounts. In a shared channel, two members running /modo each get their own briefing.

Web, extension, and Slack each bind to the same account once: session, device pairing, and Slack link.
